The skis I like the most for the last couple of years are the K2 Burnin Luv Skis. A great choice for women who like to push things a little further, these K2 marvels are excellent for high speeds and groomed runs. I used to ski with the K2 One Luv which helped me improve my skills significantly.

When, I grew out of the One Luvs a couple of years ago I was looking for a zippy performance ski that was stable at high speeds, had good grip on ice and loved turning. It needed to be able to handle most types of terrain in variable conditions. I tried out several high end technical skis from top brands but once I rode the Burnin Luvs I was sold. I enjoyed the others but they didn't compare, for me, with the Burnin Luvs which excelled in all the areas that I found important.

In the winter season my family works at a ski resort where we also live, this place has a lot of icy patches all around. We get occasional powder but it quickly gets chopped up and can be heavy. Fast on steep groomers is my favorite style of skiing and I find the K2 Burnin Luv skis responsive and stable with great edge control and precision. They handle high speeds, ice and crud with ease.

They turn like magic. I feel that the way they transition from extended carved turns to short snappy ones is one of their major strengths. The beginning of turn is quite intuitive and they have an energetic turn conclusion. This is something that took me a couple of runs to get used to but once mastered it is an incredible feeling.

They are a bit narrow at the waist to be considered a great powder ski but this is not what they are designed for and they are adequate for the amount of powder that we get. I would buy a second pair of specialized skis if I lived at an area with lots of fresh powder.

The only thing I don't like about the K2 Burnin Luvs is the graphical part. They handle well while transitioning from long curves to sharp turns in which you can tell how superior they are to the competition. I like this pair of skis so much, that the truth is I do not eve care about how they look, but again, this is my opinion. I know many others who think they look great. All I care about is that they are a magnificent ride.
